I spent 17 years working in merchandising for retailers House of Fraser, Mountain Warehouse, Moss Bros & Ann Summers.

Merchandising is a core part of running a retailer, with numbers and organisation a key part of the job, and this is where my spreadsheet skills came to the fore!

In particular my time at Mountain Warehouse was an incredible journey. I founded the merchandising department, setting up those crucial spreadsheets for stock planning and management. In my 8 years there we grew from 39 stores to 250 across the UK, Europe and North America.

5 years ago I decided to use all this spreadsheet and business experience to start Spreadsheet Tom!
